Nothing happens by chance, and the opening of Expo 2020
Dubai comes at the right time and in the ideal city to
inspire a global renaissance in the wake of the COVID-19
crisis.
Dubai epitomizes hope; it is a city that breaks down
barriers between peoples and cultures, offering genuine
opportunities for unity in realizing our collective
ambitions.
Marked by an extraordinary opening ceremony filled with joy
and creativity, Dubai became the first city in the Middle
East, Africa or South Asia to launch the world's oldest,
largest and most significant cultural and economic event,
under the slogan "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future."
The opening ceremony reflected the positive global
reputation of the UAE, and the unique qualities of Dubai as
the ideal point of convergence for the peoples of the world
to present their scientific achievements, art, literature,
culture, history and traditions.
Among the many exhibitors displaying their achievements and
cultures at Expo 2020 Dubai, Saudi Arabia’s pavilion is the
second largest, with a total area of 13,059 m2, and
represents an “inspiring Saudi vision for a shared future.”
Comprising an innovative, sustainable, LEED-certified design
(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), the Saudi
pavilion reflects the great evolutionary leap forward the
Kingdom has achieved.
The Saudi pavilion also expresses the Kingdom’s
single-minded ambitions for development and modernization,
encapsulating the economic and societal ideals of Vision
2030.
The UAE and Dubai must be congratulated for their
exceptional efforts in realizing this extraordinary global
event, which has only been enhanced by Saudi Arabia’s
participation. Collectively, these countries have brought
unprecedented prestige to the entire Arab world.
